As I perused and wandered the contrasting dimly lit caverns and light bathed halls of a museum, I was struck by one of the displays.
The museum had displayed the portraits of various people from the recent past highlighting the disparity in class, as reflected by the way the painters observed their muse.
The arrangement aimed to showcase the impermanence of life and how these folks had long left this mortal coil behind, only to be remembered through the eyes of the museum patrons. Despite of the differences in wealth and status they all share the same fate now.

Human life has merely the lifespan of a flake of snow when compared to time itself.
Life is a comedic mystery..
Not in so much as you laugh persistently.. rather because it laughs back at you.
Joy intertwined with melancholy heralds the dread of loss that we humans encounter in life.
Losing something precious.. once lost it’s gone forever. The infinity of it all.. is most striking..
Knowing that this could be your last chance.. the last kiss..
Before life fades into oblivion and even memories are lost to the sands of time..
How then can we overcome this mighty foe?
This is what I have pondered since I gained consciousness as an adult member of the human species
It’s like starting into a dark tunnel with an infinite darkness, swallowing up any joy or light you may have…
The only answer I have arrived at is to be wise.. to use the time you have.. seize the opportunity presented, lest it be your last.
While we’re alive there is still hope.. love awaits just behind the door.
