Love

I have no doubt the most integral of things needed for a good life is love!
As Mark Twain acknowledged, the single most defining achievement of ones life can be the knowledge of true love.. a melding together of two souls, forever.

Being loved by another gives you strength each day to perserve and encounter the realities of the human condition. As if a lamp in the darkest recesses and caverns of this life, love illuminates and brings to light un-surpassing mysteries.

Love is oft the gauge with which humans measure the quality of existence and therefore a life devoid of it can surely be recognised for what it is… a hollow and utterly meaningless state of being.

Evolve

Evolution of self goes hand in hand with love..

When you truly understand what love is… it humbles you.. removes your ego and pride. Your heart will wonder how did I come to experience something so divine? If you haven’t been humbled by love… you haven’t really experienced it.

The alternate to love is a sinking terrible feeling. Similarly, a refusal to evolve in our nature is to continue embracing all that is fallen, decaying and negative.
All of us must strive to pursue self improvement to ensure a good life.

We identify the good things in life when they are contrasted with the bad, hence there is a good way of being which is what we must all aspire to.

Some find the path to improvement in religion, some in education and others still in embracing the lessons of the past. No matter the avenue, never cease evolving for it is the only way to become the better person of tomorrow.

I recall a message I once read… “You’re not responsible for the programming you received in childhood, but as an adult you’re 100% responsible for fixing it.”

So no matter your story or background each of us must do better each day.. for bettering oneself is to create a better day… string those days together and you have lived a good life!
