When it’s all been said and done..

Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Dear Me,

When it’s all been said and done.. when you look back on this life what do you see?

I write this letter as a poignant reminder reflecting on the choices you made, the sacrifices you gave, the memories you made and the people you saved?

Do not look back at your achievements of wealth or fame, for they mean nothing for the journey ahead.

Instead, recall the love you shared, the people who cared, the voices of truth who dared, the moments you weren’t scared!

I would hope that you have lived a life running to towards the prize, an everlasting crown defined by the mark you left behind.

I ask you did you act with compassion.. did you show people patience?

Did you choose to obey your fallen nature or walk the path of good conscience?

Did you strive to be better or resign to remain the same?

Did you make the mistakes others before you did or did you learn and steered clear of vain?

Did you stand up for truth or take the convenient way out?

Did you treat the ones you love with respect or disdain?

Did you give them a voice to speak or silently kill their will?

Did you heed the voices of reason or were you ruled by your emotions?

Did you strengthen the voices of those standing up for right…or did you silence them?

The sincere hope I have for you… is to be able to answer these questions correctly.
